Q: What is Kirkwood Juniors?
A: We are volleyball program in Kirkwood, Missouri for middle school & elementary school girls that aim to develop volleyball skills. In the Spring, we offer weekly clinics with experienced coaches, a t-shirt, and an end of session tournament (for middle schoolers). Kirkwood Juniors was started in 2012 by Julie Goodmann (Head Varsity girls volleyball coach at Kirkwood High School).
We have since expanded to offer clinics for 1st through 8th graders and it has been a great success.
Summer of 2025 camps TBA.

Q: Is this a select program?
A: No. It is an opportunity to learn the game of volleyball.

Q: What age groups can participate?
A: We offer clinics for 1st-8th grade girls.

Q: Are there tryouts?
A: No. Everyone is welcome, even if you have never touched a volleyball in your life! Bring a friend!

Q: What is the location of the clinics and tournament?
A: All sessions will be at Kirkwood High School, in the David Holley and Denver Miller Gyms.

Q: Do you have to attend Kirkwood schools to participate?
A: No, the more the merrier!

Q: Who are the coaches?
A: The coaches are the Kirkwood High School volleyball coaching staff, current and former volleyball players, and teachers.
Due to MSHSAA rules, KHS staff cannot coach 8th graders but we promise that all of our coaches are knowledgable and passionate about the game of volleyball.

Q: What if I can’t attend all of the scheduled dates?
A: We would still love to have you participate when you can. We love volleyball and hope that you might enjoy it, too.

Q: Is this a year round program?
A: No, our first clinic date is in end of March and we usually have four-six weekly clinics before our day tournament for middle schoolers at the end of the session (usually in May).

Q: Do You have to play for the Kirkwood Juniors to play volleyball at KHS?
A: No, this is a developmental program to learn the fundamentals and skills to be a well-rounded volleyball player.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: For 5th-8th graders it is $200 and includes six clinics with experienced coaches, a t-shirt, and an end of session tournament.
Four weeks of mini clinics for 1st-4th grade is $100.
